SVFN (Samenwerkende Vakfotografen Nederland) stands for the Society of Co-operating Professional Photographers in the Netherlands. It is an organization for professional photographers. The purpose of the organization is to promote and encourage the exchange of knowledge and expertise. It also offers the opportunity to get together in an informal yet professional atmosphere.
In additional, the SVFN offers its members a wide range of benefits:
- a free subscription to the Dutch professional magazines P/F and Digitales
- a group insurance policy tailored for our branch: With the SVFN-Cover Policy, you can insure your equipment, your business and have protection against liability. Other coverage offered: Car insurance, health care plan, year-round travel insurance, personal disability and legal assistance.
- The SVFN helps prevent its members from becoming involved in legal problems. If a legal procedure is unavoidable then the SVFN member can depend upon the support and assistance of the Burafo copyright specialist (http://www.burafo.nl).
- The SVFN is an active association with many social activities such as studio visits, informal gatherings, workshops, member exhibitions and group tours.
- All SVFN members automatically become members of the Dutch Federation of Photographers (http://www.fotografenfederatie.nl) which actively protects the interests of professional photographers in Holland and promotes their work.
